Calling Party Identification (CPI)
NetNumber and TARGUSinfo have teamed up to deliver the most flexible, reliable, accurate, cost effective calling name solution available in the market today. Service providers of all types can now access North American CNAM data from TARGUSinfo via on-site TITAN servers running the NetNumber CPI application. The CPI application running on TITAN server gives carriers complete control over the delivery of CNAM services.
- On-Site Query Access: Applications query on-site TITAN Edge servers for CNAM services. Behind the scene the customer's on-site TITAN servers access TARGUSinfo's market leading data services as appropriate on a query-by-query basis.
- Multi-Protocol Support: Query options supported on the TITAN server include: SS7 via SIGTRAN (M3UA) or T1/E1 links, SIP, ENUM or DNS.
- Carrier-Control: The CPI application can be configured with customer specific address resolution logic that defines when it is appropriate to query the TARGUSinfo database for CNAM data.
- Carrier-specific data: CPI can be configured to check first for customer specific CNAM data before checking the TARGUSinfo database.
- Selective query processing: CPI can be configured to avoid external queries for specific types of numbers or for numbers from individual carriers like specific mobile operators.
- Multiple data sources: CPI can be configured to check a variety of datasources in order.
- Reliability/Resilience: The CPI application can be optionally configured to return city/state information in the event that a network problem temporarily blocks access to the TARGUSinfo servers.
- Custom Resolution Logic: Customers can define their own CPI resolution logic that can include features like automatic delivery of CNAM data to multiple devices (i.e. delivery to a TV set as well as the phone).
