ENUM and SIP

TITAN supports multiple addressing and routing services that can be licensed and configured separately to meet the changing needs of carriers and operators working in converged, portability-corrected networking environment. IP-based communications services like VoIP, IMS and MMS typically access addressing and routing services through the TITAN-ENUM and TITAN-SIP services.

Telephone Numbering (ENUM)

The TITAN-ENUM service provides RFC 3761 and RFC 4769 compliant ENUM address resolution services. TITAN-ENUM is the world’s most widely deployed and utilized ENUM service in carrier networks. Multiple implementations and configuration options enable service providers to deploy ENUM services covering a wide range of practical portability-corrected internal and interconnect routing requirements. Key features of the TITAN-ENUM service include:

  • Integrated portability-correction
  • Origin-based routing
  • Next-hop routing
  • Class-of-service routing
  • Exception routing
  • VoIP federation routing
  • Dialed-number (DN) and/or portability-corrected routing-number (RN) routing
  • Policy-based routing (TIME, ORDER, COST, WEIGHT)
  • Optional referral query to external HLR, ENUM and/or Number-Portability database.
  • Support for up to 1.5 billion individual routing entries.
  • 50,000+ ENUM queries/second on a single TITAN Edge server.

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)

The TITAN-SIP service supports RFC 3261 and RFC 4694 compliant portability-corrected redirect services. TITAN-SIP utilizes the same resolution logic and configuration options available on the TITAN-ENUM service to provide highly flexible, portability-corrected routing services. Key features of the TITAN-SIP service include:

  • Call-typing based on called-party and calling-party number (local, long-distance, etc.)
  • Integrated portability-correction
  • Origin-based routing
  • Next-hop routing
  • Class-of-service routing
  • Exception routing
  • VoIP federation routing
  • Dialed-number (DN) and/or portability-corrected routing-number (RN) routing
  • Policy-based routing (TIME, ORDER, COST, WEIGHT)
  • Optional referral query to external HLR, ENUM and/or Number-Portability databases.
  • Support for >1.5 Billion routing entries.
  • 40,000+ SIP-redirect transactions/second on a single TITAN Edge server.
