TITAN
The NetNumber Transactional IP Telephony Addressing and Numbering (TITAN) server is the world’s most widely deployed converged ENUM, SIP, SS7/C7, SIGTRAN and DIAMETER addressing and routing engine. The TITAN centralized routing engine (CRE) represents the core of an Operator’s next-generation addressing and routing infrastructure. TITAN enables an Operator to provide addressing/routing services to multiple applications at the edge of the network over multiple standard protocols (ENUM, SIP, AIN, INAP, MAP, CAP, DIAMETER, etc.) on a common set of Master and Edge servers.
- The TITAN Master provides the centralized database for addressing, routing and number-portability data within an Operator’s network. The Master provides a set of standardized interfaces for the provisioning of data from multiple sources and is responsible for real-time replication of its database to multiple Edge servers. The Master is also the element management system (EMS) for the TITAN Master/Edge infrastructure.
- The TITAN Edge provides a highly efficient and cost-effective query infrastructure for the discovery of any number of services associated with an E.164 number or block of numbers. Secure, multi-protocol query services supported by the TITAN Edge include: DNS, ENUM, SIP, DIAMETER and SS7/C7 over SIGTRAN or T1/EI services (AIN 0.2, CAP, INAP, IS-41, ISUP, MAP and PCS-1900).
TITAN software is supported and deployed on HP Proliant DL380 G6 (Edge and Master) NEBS certified carrier-grade hardware platforms. TITAN is also certified and deployed in virtual environments running the VMware hypervisor. TITAN supports multiple addressing and routing applications (TITAN Services) that can be licensed and configured separately to meet the changing needs of carriers and operators working in converged signaling environments.
