Next-Generation Addressing Infrastructure
The NetNumber Transactional IP-Telephony Addressing and Numbering (TITAN) platform provides fixed-line carriers, mobile operators, ITSPs and Interconnect carriers with a highly-scalable infrastructure for the delivery of portability-corrected address resolution services across any number of existing SS7/C7 and emerging IP applications. The TITAN platform can be deployed on-site by an Operator or deployed as a multi-tenant hosted infrastructure by interconnect service providers.
Carrier-ENUM Solutions: TITAN can be configured or customized to support multiple Carrier-ENUM address resolution models leveraging multiple number portability data sources and third-party registry services.
- IMS: The efficient translation of a dialed E.164 number into a portability-corrected SIP URI is a core requirement of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture defined by 3GPP/3GPP2 and embraced by the OMA. The TITAN platform provides a complete operator-controlled ENUM infrastructure to support IMS addressing across any number of SIP-based applications.
- MMS: Mobile operators and messaging intermediaries utilize the TITAN platform to perform portability-corrected discovery of MMS services between GSM and CDMA networks.
- VoIP: Service providers of all types (mobile, fixed-line, cable, ISPs, enterprises, etc.) are utilizing VoIP technology to invent new architectures to support the interconnection of voice services. The TITAN platform provides operators with the tools to quickly and easily discover trusted VoIP services and next-hop route information to enable end-to-end delivery of VoIP traffic.
SS7/C7 Solutions: Service providers, messaging intermediaries, content providers and transport intermediaries license TITAN to deliver highly cost effective access to legacy PSTN database applications via a wide range of access protocols:
- Number-Portability: TITAN provides operators and content providers with a highly-flexible, cost-effective platform for the delivery of number portability services including LNP, MNP and SRF. Number-portability protocols supported on the TITAN Edge server include: AIN 0.2, PCS-1900, IS-41, GSM-MAP, and INAP over SS7 T1/E1 low-speed link or a high speed SIGTRAN/M3UA interface. SIP, DNS and SOAP/XML query options are also supported. Operators can license the TITAN platform for on-site deployment or leverage a hosted infrastructure operated by NetNumber.
- Calling Party Identification: NetNumber and TARGUSinfo have teamed up to deliver the most flexible, reliable, accurate, cost effective calling name solution available in the market today. Service providers of all types can now access North American CNAM and CNAP data from TARGUSinfo via on-site TITAN servers running the NetNumber CPI application. The CPI application running on TITAN server gives carriers complete control over the delivery of CNAM services.
- Global-Title Translation (GTT): The TITAN platform provides support for multiple global-title addressing services via SCCP GTT addressing techniques from an E.164, MSIDSN, IMSI or MIN. Applications include subscriber specific HLR/HSS discovery, SMSC discovery, etc.
Service Provider Identification (SPID) Solutions: The TITAN SPID service provides application servers with access to portability-corrected SPID data that is utilized in production to support multiple applications including efficient message routing, carrier access billing and pre-port validation solutions.
- SMS Interconnect: Mobile operators, SMS content providers, and messaging intermediaries utilize the TITAN platform to provide portability-corrected discovery of a destination operator’s service provider ID (SPID) to facilitate direct interconnection of SMS traffic over IP protocols.
