VoIP Interconnect Addressing
A single ENUM query or SIP Invite from a softswitch or SIP proxy to a locally deployed TITAN Master/Edge infrastructure combines portability-correction, internal address resolution, interconnect service discovery and default PSTN routing. - Step 1: Check for an internal softswitch or SIP-proxy address for the dialed number. If not found...
- Step 2: Translate the dialed number into a portability-corrected service provider ID (SPID) utilizing locally provisioned ported number data, an IMSI query or a third-party SPID database.
- Step 3: Given a portability-corrected SPID, check the local Interconnect-View for a trusted interconnect partner’s network entry point address (border controller) and optional next-hop route address.
The TITAN platform can be deployed in a single operator configuration or deployed by an interconnect provider in a hosted model to deliver secure, multi-tenant VoIP addressing services.
