NetNumber TITAN Certified Interoperable with VMware Infrastructure

LOWELL, Mass. — Aug. 15, 2017 — NetNumber, Inc. today announced its TITAN Centralized Signaling and Routing Control (CSRC) platform has achieved VMware Ready status for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). This designation indicates that after a detailed validation process, NetNumber TITAN 7.0 has achieved VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and can be found on the VMware Solutions Exchange (VSX).

The NetNumber TITAN CSRC platform virtualizes more than twenty network functions, including the STP, DSC, HSS, HLR and Number Portability on the signaling control infrastructure. Operators deploy TITAN as a single, common platform and simply add these virtualized network functions as needed. Centralized provisioning and management, and a powerful distributed, in-memory subscriber database enables all signaling processing to happen at the optimal location in the network—the core or the edge, for maximum flexibility. TITAN provides a programmable, customer—defined service logic execution environment so every network function deployed on the platform can have the same user interface. The NetNumber TITAN platform enables operators to more easily deploy next-generation services such as VoLTE/VoWifi, Private LTE networks, Mobile Edge Computing, IoT/M2M and 5G.

“The telecommunications industry is undergoing a huge technology transition as operators transform legacy, hardware-based networks to virtualized and more agile infrastructures,” explained Steve Legge, senior vice president, Products and Solutions at NetNumber. “NetNumber has been virtualizing network functions for several years since we began delivering NetNumber applications on TITAN as virtual machine images. This certification signifies to operators that the NetNumber TITAN plaftform and virtualizated applications are interoperable in a VMware-based virtual environment.”

“We are pleased that NetNumber and its TITAN CSRC Platform qualify for the VMware Ready™ program, signifying to customers that it has met specific VMware interoperability standards and works effectively with VMware infrastructure, which can speed time to value within customer environments,” said Gabriele Di Piazza, vice president of solutions, Telco NFV Group, VMware.

The VMware Ready program is a co-branding benefit of the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program that makes it easy for customers to identify partner products certified to work with VMware infrastructure. Customers can use these products and solutions to help lower project risks and realize cost savings over custom built solutions. With thousands of members worldwide, the VMware TAP program includes best-of-breed technology partners with the shared commitment to bring the best expertise and business solution for each unique customer need.

The NetNumber TITAN platform can be found within the online VMsare Solution Exchange (VSX) and on the Telco NFV Solution Exchange.
